Teaching Kids How To Lose Weight The Right Way

Teaching overweight and obese kids and teens how to eat healthy foods, portion and serving sizes, and easing the stress of the child who overeats is what the staff at Carithers Pediatric Group does. It is a holistic approach to children’s weight loss. Based on their color coded food plan, kids and teens who want to lose weight will be given a certain number of servings of food based on those color groups each day. They will have lots of choices of which foods they want to eat of each color. They will learn the amount of each food that is equal to a serving. In this way making healthy food choices will become healthy lifestyle habits for your kids. They will also be encouraged to exercise 30 – 60 minutes a day.
Overweight kids and teens should not diet! They need to learn to learn how to make healthy eating choices. The That-a-Weigh Kids® meal plan will teach them how to do that. During that process, overweight and obese kids will lose weight, gain self-esteem, reduce their stress levels, and be on their way to a healthier lifestyle in the future.
